The Safari Run to Uganda is back May 18th 2024 at County Farm Park! Our one-mile Fun Run is perfect for your young runner and supporting adults, and youth and adults looking for more of a challenge can register for the 5K race to really stretch their legs! The complimentary “Tot Trot” for those under 3 years of age is available for free with any adult registration to include the whole family! 9:00am Tot Trot, 9:15am Fun Run, 10:00am 5K.

Downton Abbey Meets Outlander Fundraising Vacation
This trip is a fundraiser for Building Up raising funds to build and equip a medical clinic in Sayyi, Uganda and arranged by Rob Goodwin with Stone and Compass.

Safari Run to Uganda
All proceeds go to help build, equip, and staff this clinic located in the economically disadvantaged community of Sayyi. People now walk 7-10 miles for medical care. Women have little access to pre & post-natal care, children receive no vaccinations, and people of all ages suffer from malnutrition, parasites, and diseases such as malaria and HIV/AIDS. Mortality rates, especially for infants are distressingly high.
Lack of immediate medical and dental care will continue to impact the lives of the Sayyi area people until the clinic is operational.

Tee Off for Uganda Health Care Golf Scramble
Tee Off for Uganda Healthcare is a golf event to raise funds for building and sustaining a health clinic in Sayyi, Uganda named Zion Family Health Clinic. This event will be a shotgun-style golf scramble taking place on July 31, 2021 at Hudson Mills Metropark Golf Course in Dexter, MI. At 9:00 am, each team (up to 4 golfers) will tee off from a different hole. The players decide after each shot which one the best shot is. Each player on the team plays their next shot from that spot. The group then plays this way until the ball is holed out.
Event Includes:
Putting contest at 8:00 am prior to the start of the event ($10 entry for 2 putts)
Up to two mulligans per golfer for $5 each
Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin contests
Hole-in-One competition for a free trip to Italy for 2 and for a 2-year lease for a Chevy Equinox ($10 entry per golfer at the designated hole)
Entry and payments for all contests will be accepted at the event.
Any donations, or sign-ups, after July 1 will be matched by an empowerment grant.

Safari Run to Uganda
We invite you, your family and friends to walk, trot, dash, gallop, jog, skip, bound, meander, sprint, jump, saunter or hop 1 mile a day for 7 days or run 7 miles in one day! “7 miles” represents how far residents of Sayyi currently have to walk to the nearest hospital for care. Easter Dinner Fundraiser
Take a break from cooking this Easter! Support Building Up in our efforts to raise money to build the Zion Family Health Clinic, in Sayyi, Uganda. In addition, you will be supporting 'WHAT'S COOKING,' a local small business in Ann Arbor. We will be sure to bring convenience and great taste to your Easter table!
Choose from a delicious hickory smoked spiral ham and potato meal, or a garlic mushroom pasta meal (vegetarian). Delivery is available for $5 or pickup at Zion Lutheran Church for no additional charge. We will deliver to Ann Arbor and surrounding communities.
Orders must be placed by Wed. 3/31/21.
