Dental Clinics
The May clinic numbers were affected by torrential rain.
A dental clinic for the community members of Sayyi was held October 19 – 23, 2020 at Pastor Elia’s Community Center Church. The clinic was provided by HOPE SMILES, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Uganda. The dental clinic was sponsored by donations from Zion Mission Core Ministry, members of Zion Lutheran Church and the community.
267 patients were treated during the week. Dental staff did 130 cleanings, 223 extractions, and 80 fillings. For the majority of those treated this was their first dental treatment experience. HOPE SMILES dental staff worked relentlessly to restore hope and dignity one smile, one patient at a time.

We celebrate with Pastor Elia Musasizi the second successful dental clinic held at Resurrection Center Church in Sayyi, Uganda, February 1-5, 2021. 285 residents from Sayyi and villages beyond Sayyi received life changing dental services for the first time or follow-up dental care. There was a breaking record of men attending the clinic. Services provided were 115 deep cleanings, 117 fillings, 219 extractions and 4 root canals. Elia noted it is rare that men would seek medical care, especially in a church.
Dental care will be part of the Zion Health Clinic in the future. These dental clinics provide important care right now and build faith in the future!
