The story of Sayyi Uganda was one of a community without access to healthcare, its people needlessly suffering from treatable diseases and medical conditions. Desperate parents carried their children on the backs of bicycles or motorcycles 25 miles to the capital city of Kampala to visit a hospital where they could afford only short-term treatments or were often turned away.
Now, the Tsiyon Family hospital is saving lives, providing the treatment and education that empowers people to become stronger and healthier. International partnerships between Building Up and the Tsiyon Healing Team are transforming lives, bringing hope, healing and economic opportunities to this underserved region of Uganda.
