WHAT IS BUILDING UP?

Building UP: Partnering in Health and Wholeness is a collection of motivated US partners working to raise funds and support to improve health in rural Uganda. Out of international friendships and conversations with Dr. Elia Musasizi, a trusted pastor and medical doctor in Uganda, the dream of an accessible and sophisticated medical facility in Sayyi Uganda was born. Building Up, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was formed to help build and launch the Tsyion Family Hospital in partnership with the Sayyi community.

Now that the hospital is built, Building Up Board Members, Advisory Council Members and supporters continue to:

• Raise funds to staff and equip the hospital in Sayyi, Uganda.

• Build cross-cultural relationships to share knowledge and resources to create healthy communities.

• Develop relationships with granting agencies and foundations to sustain the hospital.

• Gather donations from US based health programs that can be shipped to Uganda.

• Recruit health professionals and students to visit and support the hospital for specialty clinics and learning opportunities.
